Hi Mohammad,
I have previously sent you an email on this topic. We at Grok (formerly Numenta) have made a conscious decision to stop supporting the legacy NuPIC code. However, we have not released our copyright for the code nor have we granted anyone permission to distribute the code or license files. We would respectfully ask that you remove the code and copyright files from your site.
We are still committed to ensuring that the research Jeff and the team have done are available for continued research. To that end, please watch for announcements from us in the coming months and years.
Thank you,
Jared Casner

Hi:
I am interested in evaluating openHTM for a research project for a non profit organization which is my client. I am interesting in getting the C++ implementation and will be willing to contribute if found applicable.
Thank you.

I think redistribution of licence file is prohibited by law. So ask Numenta Inc to provide you a license file. If they say that this has been discontinued I'll provide you my license file.

Hi
Thanks for hosting the files, I've been looking for them everywhere.
Unfortunately I was unable to download the files I really want. I have the win installer from ages ago, but I really want the linux files.
I tried all your links and the following aren't working:
nupic-1.7.1-linux32.tgz
nupic-1.7.1-linux64.tgz
nupic-1.7.1-win32_installer.exe
I would be very appreciative if you could get them working again!
Thanks
Mark

Many thanks for taking the time to put this tutorial online Mehran.
For me... Ubuntu rocks, it got me using Linux and I'm not going back :-).
I have just installed an old KWorld DVB-T card on my server and now have DVB-T TV anywhere I want in the house - on 'media' desktop (to large plasma screen), laptop (on wifi) and even a tiny 600MHz asus eeepc (on wifi) all on Ubuntu using Xbmc on the frontends and TVheadend on the server. The little asus can't keep up with the true HD streams but other than that its great. For anyone contemplating something similar (having had success with MythTV for a long time) Xbmc provides a highly polished frontend to TVheadend's simple and apparently reliable (so far) backend.
I'm now looking to expand the channels available by adding a dual DVB-S (or S2). The TBS6981 is attractively priced so I had to check it out and thats where this thread has been very useful to me.
Thanks again.

Hi Gregory J. Miely,
Which stick has you and which component has it? We must add yours as indivitually stick. Your tuner needed Version 2.7 and if it's xc3028L then the Version 3.6 (PS: the vendor id's "6000" is trident, but beholder has it now.).

I followed your instructions and created the xc_3028-v27.fw. After copying it to /lib/firmware and modprobing tm6000, I received the following dmesg:

Just tried to install my TBS 6981. I get some errors at the end of the make

I've got the second method to work (using the 6921 driver) on a couple of machines. My main machine would load the driver each boot (although there were other problems in myth!). The other machine sometimes wouldn't load the driver (no cx entries in dmesg) - adding the line:
cx23885
to /etc/modules seems to have fixed it. For reference I am running: Ubuntu 11.04 with 2.6.38-8-generic x86_64

@matt: About Diseqc I don't know how to activate it but to scan DVB-S2 channels you must use scan-s2 instead of scan.

Just a quick question - I can't get DiseqC 2.0 working with that card. I have Axing 4x1 switch, which is working with my STB with no problems. When I connected it to TBS6981 it doesn't want to scan other satellites than the one connected to AA input. The sytem is:
AA: 13.0E Hotbird
AB: 19.2E Astra
BA: 1.0W Thor
BB: 5.0E Sirius
And I'm able to scan only 13.0E. Furthermore, how can I scan DVB-S2 channels? I'm able to scan only DVB-S right now, even on 13.0E... :(

I don't know how it happened, but I finally turned everything off at 5 am (was too tired) and went to bed. I came back after 12 pm back, and typed:
dmesg |grep cx

Thank you SO much for this!
My card (6981) had been working previously under Ubuntu 10.10 x64 but had decided to stop working (along with a bunch of other peripherals) for some unknown reason.
I've just moved over to Fedora 15 x64, and could not get the drivers to install using instructions either from the manufacturer, or from following other people's directions elsewhere.
Your instructions worked perfectly - many thanks!
